Race STARTS PROMPTLY AT 9 AM
Race will start promptly at 9:00 am. Any team arriving late will be able to start the race but will take a time penalty. Each team must report to finish line no later than 1:00 p.m, whether race has been completed or not.
One car per team. Franklin County maps will be provided. Rules of the road apply including seat belts. Speed limits and traffic laws should be observed at all times.
Each team will be notified when their T-shirts will be ready to pick up at the chamber office.
Only person on team to use their phone is the captain. He/She may use the phone for GPS or to communicate with a chamber volunteer with the race. The teams will be provided with a list of acceptable names and phone numbers. Exception to this is emergencies where anyone on team may use phone to call for help. We are
relying on the honor system for all teams to adhere to this rule.
During the race, there might be other bonuses and penalties. Just keep a watch. The bonuses/penalties will be added/subtracted at the end of the race.
Destination clues will be given after completing a puzzle at the last destination. Open destination clues in your car or in the parking lot, not in puzzle area. Make sure when destination clue is handed to you, your team number is circled at top left corner. Your team number will be on your T-Shirts.
- Make sure lead car has a full tank of gas and can accommodate 4 people.
- Wear sunscreen.
- Bring a towel.
- Wear comfortable shoes.
- Bring wipes.
- Wearing a mask is optional.
Team Picture – Submit a team picture to the Chamber at firstname.lastname@example.org. The chamber will post the picture on our website and Facebook page. The more likes and votes you have by the time the race starts on June 11, the more possible bonus minutes will be added to your team’s final time.
