The Bull Pen Grill & Cantina

A local, family-owned restaurant in the heart of charming, historic downtown Mount Vernon, Texas. We are located on the southeast corner of the town square bordering historic Smokey Row in the Fleming Building. The Fleming building, established in 1887, was renovated in 2015-16 by the Hyman Family who now own and operate the Bull Pen Grill & Cantina. Our diverse Southern-inspired menu offers something for everyone, including homestyle daily specials like Fish Fridays, juicy 100% prime beef burgers, Tex-Mex dishes, farm-fresh salads, sandwiches, and appetizers. Our kitchen team takes great pride in cooking “made-from- scratch” menu items with fresh ingredients combining traditional southern recipes with a south-of-the-border flair.
