7 Pups from the Pines

7 Pups from the Pines is a grassroots animal welfare organization serving Franklin County and the surrounding rural areas. We focus on rescuing abandoned, stray, and unwanted dogs from within our rural community and placing them into safe, loving foster homes until permanent adoption. As a foster-based rescue, we do not operate a physical shelter. Instead, we rely entirely on our community to volunteer as fosters to house and care for the animals. We work at the intersection of rescue and advocacy—responding to urgent need, telling the hard stories, and pushing for a cultural shift in how our community sees and values its animals. Our efforts combine direct rescue work with education and outreach, aiming to reduce the number of unwanted animals and increase responsible pet ownership. Through local partnerships and community-driven support, we’re working to create a more compassionate and accountable approach to animal welfare in our region.
